Telomeres and their Roll in Anti-Ageing

12th May 2016 - by Jane

What are Telomeres? Telomeres are protective tips found at the end of each strand of our DNA which are called chromosomes. Rather like the plastic tip on a shoe lace they help to keep the DNA healthy.  Every part of our body is made up of cells and DNA makes up all the cells in our body. DNA makes us who we are. Our cells replenish by copying themselves. Telomeres get shorter each time a cell copies itself, but the DNA stays intact.
