Hough Green Clinic has a newly refreshed website!

This year marks 38 years since I started the business at Hough Green. So much has changed, particularly in marketing. My message and passion for what we stand for, though, are still the same – “Helping you to love your look, no matter what your age”.

For those who are not familiar with Hough Green Clinic, we are tucked away in the basement of a residential property in Hough Green just one mile from Chester city centre. The Clinic is light and airy with three of the treatment rooms looking out on to the long rear walled garden – the perfect setting for relaxing facials. The fourth treatment room is spacious with natural daylight but totally private for intimate waxing treatments.

My daughter, Samantha, joined the business 17 years ago. Samantha performs all aspects of Beauty Therapy treatments including Electrolysis, Facials, Laser/IPL Hair Removal and Thread Veins, Cryotherapy and Advanced Electrolysis. She particularly specialises in the treatment of Seborrhoeaic Keratosis warts, milia, thread veins, common warts, verrucae, cherry spots, skin tags etc.

Lynn has been a vital part of the team for 10 years, having been in the Beauty business for well over 20 years. She is a qualified Beauty Therapy lecturer. As well as her Laser/IPL skills and care, her waxing skills are first class, giving confidence and perfect results to even the most sensitive of clients. Facials and Facial Peels are Lynn’s passion. Her experience, knowledge and dedication in this area shine through with every consultation and treatment.

Karen has recently joined our team. Karen, a close friend of Sam and Lynn, is a fully qualified Prescribing Nurse and specialises in Botox Treatments, Skin Needling and Mesotherapy. We pride ourselves in being up to date with the latest technology in our fields of Laser/IPL Treatments, Skin Care Products, Beauty equipment and in house treatments. We are constantly carrying out in house and online training. This objective is vital to us when purchasing new equipment and skin care. We insist we are regularly kept up to date with new skills and treatments relating to our business. We recommend parking opposite in Cavendish Road accessed via Lache Lane or in Howe Road.

We do not have a sign at the gate as Hough Green is a conservation area. However, there is sign on the side of the house, down the drive, just before the entrance to the Clinic. We hope you will find our new website to be informative, inviting and easy to follow. Although bookings can be made by telephone we do recommend you to book online as it is easier to find an appointment time to suit you. We are now taking a 20% deposit with each booking which is then deducted from your bill at the end of treatment. Sadly this has come to pass due to no shows or very late cancellations. Last minute cancellations impact on our business and our ability to offer appointments to clients. No-shows will be charged the full treatment amount. After 38 years I have reduced my working hours to Tuesday and Friday mornings. This is for Electrolysis treatment only. I am still doing the accounts behind the scenes and will continue to write this column while there is still material to write in this ever changing business.
